ARRIVAL MEALS FROM RUSTIQUE COUNTRY CUISINE

Rustique Country Cuisine would be delighted to have an easy meal waiting for you on your arrival. We feel that a bit of home cooking, comfort food is often welcome after travelling.

We can either offer a Tarte Provencal with salad and bread or alternatively, Bolognese filled pasta and tomato sauce with salad and bread. The pasta would need to be heated – but all gites have a microwave and a conventional oven. (The Tarte Provencal could also be heated if required, but is just as delicious cold.) This enables you to enjoy either hot or cold food, when you want it – relax and not worry about getting to the shops “en-route,” it can easily be done the next day.
COST: 10 euros per meal


Sunday market at Aulnay, approximately 5 km away, is a popular event – an abundance of fresh produce from meat to fish, charcuterie, cheeses, eggs, fruit & vegetables. Don’t be daunted, this friendly atmosphere makes the language not necessarily a problem – pointing is usually quite sufficient!!!
There are a couple of bars in the square, so after your shop, enjoy a glass in the sunshine and soak up the atmosphere.
If you want a supermarket on Sunday, Intermarche at Aulnay is open in the morning and around the corner.

Of course, Sunday evening, enjoy the B-B-Q - marinated meats & salads – all lovingly cooked by your host Richard!

Rustique Country Cuisine also provides a 3 course menu on Tuesday/Thursday & Fridays – delivered to your table, ready to enjoy.
